Express entry is an online system system used to manage applications for permanent residence of skilled workers.
Step 1: Find out if you are eligible
There are two ways to find out if you are eligible
(i) Read the detailed requirement for each program.
(ii) Answer a few question to see if you meet a minimum requirements.
Visit www.cic.gc.ca. choose english language, answer all the questions sincerely. The tool ( comprehensive Ranking System-CRS) will calculate your result and let you know if you are eligible to apply or not. The CRS tool will ask you question relating to age ,marital status, skills, education, language, ability, work experience and other factors.
Step 2: Get your documents ready
(i) You need to sit for nonacademic IELTS exam, ensure you score 8, 7 ,7 ,7 for reading, writing, listening and speaking respectively.
(ii) Send your certificate (eg Bsc,Masters, Diploma, PHD) to educational evaluators in Canada.
When you have these two above; you can then move to step 3
Step 3: Submit your profile
Your express entry profile is where you give information about yourself. You will be placed in a pool of candidates. You will be ranked in the express entry pool using a points based system.

Step 4: Receive invitation to apply (ITA)
Every Year Immigration and citizenship Canada sends invitation to candidates with high CRS ranking already in the pool to apply for permanent residence.
A selected number of candidates in the pool receive ITA monthly, it takes between 3-6 months to process PR application: after being processed, you will receive your PR card here in Nigeria and you will be eligible to apply for citizenship in Canada after living there for one year.
